I thought the light on these Egyptian Blue Lotus Flowers was subtle and perfect. Light comes in all forms and this was one of those gray days which can be fantastic for botanical photography — when there is was just the right amount of diffuse sun to provide subtle highlights and deep color. I also liked the cloud reflections on the water in the background which gives the scene an impressionistic effect.
